Junior club

Paignton Junior Sailing Club provides sailing tuition and race training for youngsters from 9 years of age.  Our aims are to promote dinghy racing through encouraging youngsters to have fun out on the water in safety and to enjoy the thrill of dinghy sailing.  Our courses have been highly commended by the Royal Yachting Association.

The Junior Club utilises the facilities of the training centre and the main club to run beginners courses for its young people and then takes them on to the stage where they can race.

All our training is supervised by  a team of experienced RYA Senior Instructors and Instructors, with safety boat support at all times.

PJSC has a fleet of dinghies including Toppers, Picos, RS Fevas and RS Visions to provide a range of sailing experience.

If you have one or more children between the ages of 9 and 17, they will automatically become members of the Junior Club once they have joined Paignton Sailing Club as junior or family members.

The Junior Club which has its own committee also runs a number of special events for children which can be great fun for the children and parents alike.

The club is very keen for parents to get involved as instructors, rescue-boat drivers and helpers. For more details of how to take advantage of the club's training and social facilities for your child, look on the Junior Club notice board in the main club house.
